President Shannon Walden and his lady Joan (Abbas Grotto)
Greetings to the prophets and ladies of the Midwest Grotto Association. I was honored to be installed as president of the association this past week in Kokomo, Indiana and my lady Joan and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible throughout the coming year. Congratulations to Gene and Diana Meyers for the 2020 convention! You and the prophets and ladies of Ibn Saud Grotto did a great job during a tough year and your efforts were appreciated!
Moving on in to 2021 I want to encourage all of you to make efforts to get our organization back to normal. Promote Grotto at blue lodges and around the realm and encourage participation. I am proud to be a member of the Grotto and proud of the Midwest Grotto association! I encourage all of you to travel to other grottoes and events throughout the realm and get to know as many prophets as possible. If your Grotto is having any events or other activities that you think other prophets may want to attend, please submit that information to the Midwest Grotto Association website so they can be aware. My lady Joan and I plan on attending as many as we can.
The prophets and ladies of Abbas Grotto are working hard to prepare for a great 2021 convention! The spring meeting is scheduled for April 9th and 10th and the 74th Annual Midwest Grotto Association convention is scheduled for September 29th through October 2nd. The theme of this year’s convention is “Grotto, where everybody knows your name” and Joan and I want to encourage all of us to do our best to get to know everyone! Information about the spring meeting is posted on the "2021 Upcoming Events" page on this website and the convention information and convention packet will be available on the web site soon.
Let's all make an effort this year to ensure that the Midwest Grotto Association stays the best!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I know this is a little late but here it is. We decided to post it this way because, when everyone gets a card, they look at and throw it away. We donated $100 to Angie’s charities to the HF. Hope this doesn’t offend anyone, but I would rather donate to our cause than just throw a card in the trash.
Hopefully we all will have a much better year than last. Our love for the Grotto is first and foremost,
